Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Blythe Robbins
For as long as she can remember, Dr. Blythe Robbins has been passionate about learning and helping others. As a driven student, Dr. Robbins completed her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Indiana University East, graduating with honors and high distinction. Afterwards, she focused her energies on learning the art and science of dentistry, attending the Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduating with her DDS degree in 2017.
Trained in all of the latest dental technologies, Dr. Blythe’s mission is to help kids to understand the importance of dental health while making their experience at the dentist fun. In addition to creating an office environment where kids can feel comfortable, Dr. Blythe focuses on teaching kids dental habits that will benefit them throughout the rest of their lives.
When she isn’t at the dental office helping other children, Blythe loves to spend time with her husband Zach and their one year old son, Reed. Dr. Robbins also harnesses her creativity by crafting, hand lettering, and practicing calligraphy. As an Indiana native, Blythe loves enjoying community events with her family and doing what she can to give back.
As a new dental care provider at Smile Time Kids, Dr. Robbins is excited to get to know our patients and reinforce our standard of excellence in children’s dentistry.

Meet Our Team
Richmond native Melissa says she loves seeing the smiles on kids’ faces when she comes to work every day! She has been working in dentistry for the last 17 years after graduating from the Professional Careers Institute’s dental assistant program in 2002 and from Colorado Tech with an associate’s degree in 2012. She decided to study dentistry after remembering her positive experiences with dental visits growing up. In her role at Children’s Dental Center, Melissa assists our dentists chairside, performing expanded dental functions such as placing fillings, crowns and spacers. She loves her job, saying “I love working with my team and doing what I love every day. I have a passion for helping people.” When she’s not assisting our dentists, Melissa enjoys spending time with her son and daughter and says her kids are her greatest achievement. She also loves to watch football and take motorcycle rides. When asked whom she most admires, she says: “My mother, because she did so much for me and my sister as a single parent.”
When asked about her role at Children’s Dental Center, Tadessa answers simply and confidently: “I help care for and protect smiles!”. In her role as an expanded functions dental assistant, Tadessa supports our dentists in a variety of capacities, including placing fillings, crowns and spacers. She says she likes her job because she “loves making people feel good about their smiles.” Happy and grateful patients are the reason Tadessa enjoys coming to work every day, too. She also acknowledges that having the “most amazing team” is a real motivation, too. She cites her childhood dental hygienist as an influence when choosing to go into dentistry. When not helping patients and dentists, Tadessa loves spending quality time at home with her son, whom she considers her greatest achievement, and her dog Tanner. She also enjoys movie nights, deer hunting and family cook-outs. Her grandmother is the person she admires most in life as she is “giving, hard-working and passionate”, and the most amazing person she knows!
In Mika’s role as a sterilization assistant, she prepares each room for new clients. This includes replacing tools, sterilizing instruments, and otherwise helping out when needed. Currently living in Muncie, IN, Mika has been in the dental industry for two years - and is excited to learn and excel in this field. “I loved the dentist as a kid and I always wanted to be an assistant!” In her role, Mika enjoys being a face that kids look forward to seeing. “I love my team and the great kids that come in!” Mika works diligently with her coworkers to create a welcoming and caring environment for their young patients. She understands that a child is more open to learning when they are in a comfortable environment with people they trust. Through trust in Mika, she is able to educate children on proper oral hygiene techniques they can use all their life.
