Dr. Alec Weiss

Dr. Alec Weiss is a compassionate pediatric dentist who is passionate about helping children feel comfortable, confident, and cared for during every dental visit. Growing up in Plainfield, Indiana, Dr. Weiss originally pursued engineering before realizing his true calling was in healthcare and working directly with people. Dentistry became the perfect combination of science, precision, and patient connection. After earning his Biomedical Engineering degree from Indiana University Indianapolis in 2020, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2024 and his Pediatric Dentistry specialty training at Riley Hospital for Children in 2026. Dr. Weiss joined our team in July 2026, where he is dedicated to creating positive dental experiences and helping children build healthy smiles for life.

Clinically, Dr. Weiss focuses on preventive pediatric dentistry, restorative care, and helping children overcome dental anxiety through patience, encouragement, and trust. He is especially passionate about preserving healthy baby teeth and guiding the development of strong permanent smiles. Known for his calm demeanor and positive attitude, Dr. Weiss works closely with parents and referring doctors to provide thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that prioritize long-term oral health. He also has advanced training in pediatric dental treatment under general anesthesia and enjoys helping children with complex dental needs achieve healthy, confident smiles. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Weiss is proud to connect with and care for families from a wide range of backgrounds. He stays current with the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education, conferences, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry journal.

Outside the office, Dr. Weiss brings the same energy and enthusiasm to life that he brings to his patients. He enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling on cruises, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Ashley Weiss, their son Hudson, and their two dogs, Rosie and Slater. A lifelong racing fan who once built oil pumps for NASCAR, Dr. Weiss combines precision, dedication, and fun into everything he does. Parents and referring doctors can feel confident knowing their children are receiving gentle, high-quality pediatric dental care from a doctor who truly loves what he does and genuinely cares about every patient he sees.

Your child should see the dentist at the age of 1 year, or within 6 months of the appearance of his or her first tooth. A quick checkup will be done and x-rays taken to ensure the baby teeth are growing properly. If your child has multiple teeth already, they'll be counted and quickly cleaned.
